T'was the Night Before Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Eve!

In my 8 AM Book Club, my group of fourth graders and I decided to practice this poem like a Reader's Theater.  We talked about how to split up parts and then practiced.  After we practiced they wanted to share this with all of you!  

We decided to take a picture of the poem so you could follow along while you listened to these awesome readers show their stuff!  They were kind of nervous so we hope you can turn up your sound!

New Name, New Job, New Blog!

Greetings!!!

I am coming to you via a new blog and a new job description!  On July 21, I was also married Mr. Matt Groen!  I have moved into the position of a Title 1 Reading Teacher instead of in kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year. I am so excited for the year to begin so I can get to know more students in the building.  I am also lucky enough to travel to St. Mary's across town and work in the afternoon with more students!  I can't wait to show you some of the things that we will be doing!
